I’ll be starting my Cinco off at Cisco’s Restaurant Bakery and Bar for Brunch. I have fallen head over heels in love with Cisco’s and I know you will too. From the moment you enter their doors you feel at home and a part of the familia but then there’s the food y’all. Cisco’s offers up down-home, no frills, amazing, Tex-Mex fair that I could honestly eat every day. Pro tip: GET A TOASTED BISCUIT!! On “Cisco De Mayo” from 11am-1pm there will be $4.00 Margaritas and live mariachi music by Mariachi Corbetas. Sounds like the perfect brunch plan to me.

Next up a private tasting event hosted by the well known Taco Cabana for some delicious Tacos and fun times with my Austin Food Bloggers Alliance foodie family.

On to another one of my favorites located in the Domain, Cyclone Anaya’s Tex-Mex Cantina. Did you know that Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby fall on the same day this year?! Welp, Cyclone Anaya’s will be hosting a “Derby de Mayo” 😉 celebration! So you don’t have to choose between a Mint Julep or Margarita… you’ve just got to decide which one to try first! and you won’t want for any tasty noms because I have never had anything bad here, plus what’s better than housemade tortillas?! NOTHING, The correct answer is NOTHING 😉

My next stop is Gabrielas Downtown for delicious and fun-filled pineapple margaritas and Latin music by Dj GirlfriendATX $4.00 Margaritas and $4.00 Palomas during Happy Hour from 3-7pm

Now we’re off to the Grand Opening of Austin Daily Press‘ new location at 4620 East Cesar Chavez. The menu offers delicious tortas, tapas, scratch-made bakery, local drafts, and live music to boot. I was so impressed by what I tasted at the media event I attended a few weeks ago that I can’t wait to get back to them. Do yourself a favor and get a chocolate chip cookie, you will not regret it!

Let’s take a little break from margaritas for an awesome collaboration between Austin Eastciders and my favorite local tequila, Dulce Vida. Austin Eastciders Tequila Barrel-Aged Cider is a 100% bittersweet and bitter-sharp apple blend cider aged for four months in a Dulce Vida tequila barrels. A mellow cider with cacti and vegetal notes and a smooth finish. Head to the Austin Eastciders Collaboratory tap room at 979 Springdale Road and all over Texas. Come down for a pint ($6) and fill up your growler ($9 for 32 oz and $18 for 64 oz). Available while supplies last which I’m sure won’t be long. Celebrate Cico De Mayo at the Collaboratory from 12 – 5 PM with growler specials, prize piñatas, and music by the Afroknotts.

Last, but definitely, not least I will be ending my Cinco De Mayo at Malverde, the event space above La Condesa, they will be open to the public on this day of celebration with happy hour specials, DJs and more. This event is free and open to the public from 5pm-2am on Cinco De Mayo. For those interested in hanging out with me, you can RSVP by clicking the link here: RSVP does not guarantee entry and once capacity is reached, it will be 1 in, 1 out. Y’all wanna have a dance party!!?
